Eating in Season and Aligning Your Rhythm

As we begin to enter into Fall we are moving from the energy of the Air into Earth. During these times some of us may be experiencing the effects of this physically, mentally, or emotionally. Feeling these kinds of imbalances during these times is completely normal. While it is important to accept the shift in energy it is just as important to make sure that we are evolving with the changing rhythms. As the rhythm of the earth shifts we must also shift our own internal rhythms to bring us back to alignment.

A simple and effective way we can achieve this alignment is through the food that we are eating. As we shift into the Fall season in a very simplistic way, we must be aligning our diets with the energy of the earth.

So, what does this mean? This mean we should be stocking up and preparing food that is in season. When we eat the foods in season we are aligning our rhythms with the bio rhythms of the earth and moon. This allows us to both energetically and nutritionally align with all that is around us. So, rather than feeling like our worlds are being completely turned upside down, we move with the changes. This feeling of alignment with our energy and nutrition will seep into other areas of your life such as your relationships, career, or finances.

While this may seem like it is over complicating our eating processes it is quite the opposite. We must return back to our roots and eat foods that are naturally occurring and rich in nutrients for that specific season. As you begin to shift your thinking to alignment with the rhythms of the earth and moon, this will all begin to occur with little to no thought.

So, what can you do now? Instead of abruptly removing a certain type of food in hopes of aligning yourself and curing the imbalances you are experiencing with this energy shift, begin to introduce a variety of Fall foods into your diet. As a simple trick, try to eat foods that come rooted in the earth or are 6 feet above the ground.
